DMV thanksgiving cup

November 21 - 22, 2026

The DMV Thanksgiving Cup brings clubs together from across the DMV region and beyond for an quality and affordable competitive fall-season finale. Teams receive three guaranteed matches, with qualifying finalists advancing to a championship match. Local teams from Montgomery County will have the options to play on Friday night. Championship matches for brackets that involves teams from outside the DMV region will be scheduled no later than 4pm on Sunday. This is not a stay to play tournament.

Event Details

The Applied Teams link for 2026 will be posted close to the Application Deadline. Schedules will be posted November 11th. Please be sure to continuously check your team's schedule, as locations, times, and days are subject to change leading up to the event. All scheduling requests are considered by the tournament committee, but not guaranteed.

Tournament Insurance Policy


Tournament registration fees are non-refundable. However, teams who purchase Event Cancellation Team Coverage through ViCoverage, powered by Vertical Insure, may be eligible for reimbursement up to 100% if the event is canceled or shortened due to unsafe playing conditions caused by weather. Refund eligibility is determined based on games played versus games guaranteed and is paid directly to the team by Vertical Insure.

Example: If your team registers for a 3-game guarantee tournament and only 1 game is completed before weather conditions make fields unsafe or unplayable, covered teams may be eligible for reimbursement for the 2 games not played. If the tournament is canceled before any games begin, covered teams may be eligible for up to a 100% refund of the registration fee.

Covered weather-related conditions may include:

  • Heavy rain or flooding
  • Lightning
  • Hurricanes or tornadoes
  • Extreme heat
  • Smoke or poor air quality
  • Other unsafe playing conditions
